My brother is suffering from schizophrenia. He was first diagnosed in 2017. He cut his hand with blade several times and also burnt with cigaretts. He was talking alone.His emotion was out of control. He is on medication since. His emotion is somehow ok now. But still complains that he hears someone telling him manythings (audio hallucination). He is suspicious and often blame others with makeup story. He is taking the same medicine for last 3 years. No improvement is seen. One doctor suggested electro therapy. But we are scared to do that. Can you help?

My 17 year old son has been having anxiety, disturbed sleep with vivid dreams, and mild heart palpitations (1 or 2 times a day/10 seconds each time). These symptoms have been going on for 1.5 years. He was seen by his pediatrician who said after a complete blood test that his only problem is a low level of Vitamin D. He has been taking Chinese herbal medicine for heart heat symptoms without significant improvements. I was told the symptoms are due to his poor diet and unhealthy habit. I would like to know what is happening with him and how we should address the issue. Thank you.
