If a patient is taking 300mg of buprpion xl (wellbutrin) and 200mg of lamotrigine, and 25mg of quetiapine. Is that a lot of medication? What symptoms or diagnosis would you expect that patient may have?

Hi, I am Dr Dina Ali, a psychiatrist with 10 years of experience.
This treatment can be usually given in bipolar depression and apparently there's a problem with sleeping.
Is that right?

Yup right on the money, wanted to see if I was getting the right treatment they said Bipolar Two and I dont have trouble falling asleep, but they think I am not sleeping deeply or through the night.Thank you and a follow up: I haven't gone to bed before 7am in over ten days since I started working at home, because I'm much more productive at night and feel better. I'm still sleeping about 7 hours. Is that in any way normal or totally unhealthy? Are there people and cases in which someone truly is naturally predisposed to a nocturnal schedule?Also is that dosage heavy or average or light? Thank you for your help!

Night sleep is far better than day sleep as regards ***** ***** rhythm, brain waves, diurnal hormonal variations and regulation of mood and health in general.
It's even advisable in bipolar disorder to wake up early and get exposed to sunlight (the idea behind light therapy).
What you are doing is called delayed sleep phase type of circadian rhythm disorders. You need to readjust your sleep wake schedule.
Your doses are within normal ranges.
