Hi, thank you for writing. My names is Leah. The first person you should have your wife talk to is her PCP (or Gynecologist) about her lack of desire. That is, assuming she also wants to work on increasing her libido? Can you tell me a little more about your situation, like how long you have been married, how long has this been an issue, and how your wife reacts when you bring this up up to her?
I look forward to hearing back from you,
Leah

There is a medication that can be prescribed to impact libido. It is a safe medication that is usually very well tolerated and is an antidepressant called Wellbutrin. However, I wonder if you have tried physically touching with your wife and what would happen if you just asked her to cuddle with you, naked, in bed. Let her know you want to try some massage, some kissing, and maybe a racy movie? Often, the mind initially puts up a wall about not wanting intimacy but once primed through visual and physical stimulation, the brain engages and the body responds. So even if she says she isn't interested, ask if she would be willing to lay with you while you and her due to some sensual touching. Hopefully, that gets her excited and she can remind her body and mind about how good physical intimacy can feel.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

JulieLockesburg, AR

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.

John and StefanieTucson, AZ

I have been dealing with an extremely serious health crisis for over three years, and one your physicians asked me more questions, gave me more answers and encouragement than a dozen different doctors who have been treating me!!
