I'm having problems sleeping...

I'm having problems sleeping and having anxiety about bills and my new job as well as my children which my son was born a month ago and daughter is 4 just not feeling like myself just want to hide in my house

Doctor's Assistant: How long have you been dealing with this? Is there anything in particular that seems to make the symptoms better or worse?

It's been about three weeks I'm prescribed vistarl when first started but not working

First of all you need to give your medication a little more time. If it does not become effective within a few weeks, I would talk to my doctor about trying something else.

Second, think on good things. Focus on what makes you happy. •Try to keep your mind on these things especially as you try to sleep.

Get plenty of exercise, especially in the early evening, a couple hours before bedtime.

Try. Doing a deep breathing exercise each night before bed. Breath in slowly for 4 seconds, hold it and then breath out for four seconds. Do this 4-5 times each. Ight before you drift off to sleep.

Try changing one small thing each week or month ( you set your own pace ) that will relieve some of your stress. You can cut back your work hours, get child care, or pay off a bill. Even writing a budget might help.
