Customer Question

Is a cure for anhedonia y distimia?
Submitted: 1 year ago.

This is Dr. David

Anhedonia is the inability to experience pleasure from activities usually found enjoyable

Dysthymia sometimes also called neurotic depression, dysthymic disorder, or chronic depression

for some patients, there is no cure of these conditions, but they can be treated.

it sounds like you have had treatment with zoloft SSRI agent.

or some patients with severe depression symptoms, additional of other medications such as seroquel or abilify can help your depression medications work better

ECT or elctroconulsive therapy can help some patients as well

has your doctor talked to you about these options?
