Customer Question

Hi I've been on abilify for two weeks and in those two weeks my cognitive function has rapidly declined. I recently took some abilify with some majuriana and it caused me extreme panic and feelings of depersonalization and cognitive absence. I stopped smoking for a week and I felt odd mentally but I could function fairly normal. I recently had some majuriana to calm my nerves and it furtherd my feelings of cognitive absence. I feel less intelligent I can't seem to engage in regular activity like I used to. I fear that by mixing these two drugs I have permanently damaged my mental state.

Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer. It is highly doubtful that you caused permanent brain damage from the abilify and marijuana combination, but the combination of both can easily cause a drug induced cognitive and/or mood disorder, which is what you are experiencing. Have you considered stopping the marijuana use completely?
