What do you know about the lastest "cure" for depersonalization and derealisation. I have suffered for over 40 years and had all drugs, ECT, psychotherapy, etc. etc. Why wont they prescribe Naloxone

Hello and thank you for using justanswer. Unfortunately Naloxone was only used in a couple pilot studies back in 2001 and 2005 to treat Depersonalization Disorder so there is not long-term peer reviewed research on the use of this medication to treat Depersonalization/Derealization or other dissociative disorders at this time. I am sorry that you have suffered with this disorder for so long, but it is very doubtful that any respected psychiatrist would prescribe you Naloxone for the treatment of this disorder as there is just not enough research show that it is an effective treatment.
