I am stuck with indecision, severly tense and low, also anxious, very drained and exhusted from total lack of proper sleep, my mind and body are not working as one, so drained i have no energy and cant relax.
i have tried many medications without sucess over the last two years. I am very worried cant lead a normal life, I am so down and low, can anyone help please
Hello, I'd like to help you with your question.

It sounds like you could either have depression or anxiety or even both. If medications do not work for you, that usually indicates that there is more to your issue that you need to address.

Depression and anxiety can have two causes. One is clinical depression where the person has an imbalance in their brain chemistry and in that case, medication can be very effective. However, depression can also be caused by circumstances such as past abuse or things such as job loss, illness or lack of supports in your life. And if the cause of your depression and anxiety is situational, then therapy is very effective in helping you to feel better.

A therapist can do a full evaluation, provide a diagnosis so you know what you are dealing with and provide a treatment plan for you to follow. Talking about what you feel can provide relief and the therapist can offer you options to try to help you to feel better. To find a therapist, talk with your doctor about a referral. You can also use on line therapy if you feel you would rather talk from home or you have difficulty finding a local therapist. Use any search engine and put in online therapy to find a therapist who can either talk with you via Skype or through chat.

The difficulty is I respond to nothing as I had gone into myself mentally, also i am so low its left me stuck that i cant visualise or focus leaving me as not myself but also cant enjoy anything around me

It sounds like you might be severely depressed. In that case, you might want to consider getting an evaluation at your local ER to see if a short hospital stay might help you feel better. You need to be at a certain functioning level in order for therapy and/or self help to work. And if you are so depressed you cannot function, then more intense treatment might be a better option for now. You can contact your doctor about being admitted (that might make it easier on you) or you can go to your local ER.
