VerifiedSide effects from antidepressants can be so unpleasant that patients don't want to take them. In those cases, I strongly encourage patients to go back to their doctor or at least call for the doctor's recommendation. Because antidepressants take for 4 to 6 weeks to have there full effect, and during that time some of the side effects will wear off, it is best to give the medication a full trial. Sleepiness is one of the side effect that often does improve as your body gets used to the medication. I also ask people to be patient while trying different antidepressants. There is no clear way to know which antidepressant will work the best for a given individual, so there can be quite a bit of trial and error.

Your symptoms could be a combination of Hypothyroidism and Depression.
We do know that if hypothyroidism is not controlled properly the person would have lethargy,low libido,
.In Depression one can have similar symptoms.
Now coming to the management--I appreciate it can be little bit confusing but I would advise the following management plan.Please discuss with your PCP to see whether she agrees.
1. Please repeat Thyroid function tests. If the dose of L-Thyroxine needs adjusting,please do so as a first step.
2.Please check Haemoglobin and take necessary action depending on he results (as persons with low haemoglobin,possibly due to low iron can have low energy as well)
3.Continue Wellbutrin. The usual average dose is around 400mg (although can vary from 300 mg to 600mg). There is good evidence that Wellbutrin is helpful for Depression and anxiety. Another benefit is sometimes it is used in people who have sexual side effects due to SSRI antidepressants. It doesn't have weight gain side effect which can occur with many other antidepressants.
4. I hope with this Depression would improve.However then if anxiety still persists(as can happen in few)please consider short term course of Vistaril 25 mg.This medication is not addictive.

Please don't get me wrong, VIibryd is also very effective and have some unique properties which are very different from other antidepressants but it is relatively new and the effectiveness needs to be more established.
