VerifiedHi, I think you have few options. One, If you haven't tried other SSRI apart from Lexapro, one medication that can be tried for depression without weight gaining is Flouxetine. If the anxiety is the main issue and weight is the major concern you can try Viibryd as it doesn't have much weight gain problems. For the anxiety theoretically you can take klonipin because it is effective drug.However one problem is it is habit forming medication and if you take long time it might not be very effective. You might want to discuss with your Doctor about the possible non habit forming medications for anxiety like clonidine or Vistaril.
