He says each day is a struggle to keep a lid on this sense of stress [/topics-stress/]/anxiety [/topics-anxiety/], his head buzzes with it & its all he can do to put on a show that hes a happy-go-lucky normal boy! he forgets what youve asked him within seconds & struggles to convey his emotions. speech & language say he has limited short term recall but he doesnt have dyslexia [/topics-dyslexia/]. his school cant get ed pshyc to evaluate him because he is achieving at the correct level (although his inability to produce written work is starting to impact on this) he just doesnt seem to fit into any 1 category of disorder & i dont know how to begin to help him!

Hello, My name is ***** ***** I am a mental health counselor. From what you have told me I would recommend that you find a counselor and possibly a psychiatrist to evaluate him. It seems he is struggling in several areas and could possibly be ADHD. If you call your local mental health board they can refer you to a counseling center to get him the help he needs. If money is an issue community counseling centers go by your income which means you could end up paying little or nothing for an evaluation and possible treatment. Please try to get him some help because this is very difficult for him. Please let me know if I can assist you further with this. Thank you.
