Customer Question

i think i have psychosis, i quit smoking weed about a week ago and before that i was a heavy daily user. ever since i quit i feel like i have been depressed and it is harder to concentrate and do school work. if i had known this would happen i never would have started i guess it was a mis perception about weed. how can i fix the way im feelin? will it take time or be permanent.

Hello, I am a psychiatrist.
To answer your question, I need to know how long you smoked, and was your use always heavy? You're likely going to be fine, but any more smoking isn't going to help things.

For about 2 years, and it gradually increased over time, from once a day to like 2 times a day.

In that case, it may take some time. Also, other things can affect memory/concentration, too, such as depression that might have been present - but masked by - your marijuana use. If your symptoms don't improve, you should probably be evaluated by a psychiatrist for depression.
