I suffer from depression for many years and I am on

I suffer from depression for many years and I am on welbutrin and effexor both my parents are and were depressed I will be 60 this month My father died from kidney disease, in which I inherited but hopefully will be remission soon. Hw tried to commit suicide My mother has had 2 nervous breakdowns. I myself divorced for 25 years 2 sons 37 and 35 I am caring for my mother with alzteimers. She gets worse everyday. While I at work she has a caregiver. She only recgonizes me and loosing the ability to be mobile at all. My question is for myself I am extremely depressed from all the pills I take for depression and kidney disease for blood pressure, financial problems serious, plus demanding job 40 miles away from home, and caring for my mom. I even had a doctor put me on vyvance because I have trouble staying awake when I drive. I am wanting to releive this depression and my memory loss is terrible, which effects my jobAm I getting early altzteimers? Please advice signed Kathy

Hello
You need to have your doctor run a test...a written test and oral test, called a mini status mental exam.
This will give a score that will help show if this is depression or dementia.

It sounds like this is depression and stress.

However you can not tell without the exam...and if there is a low score, then a consult with a neurologist.
