I want to reassure you about Viibryd. Viibryd is an SSRI, the same class of antidepressants as Lexapro. I am assuming here that your doctor is replacing the Lexapro with Viibryd. This is a common adjustment in psychiatry when one SSRI is not doing the job completely. If the doctor still feels that this class of meds is the right one for you, the doctor will often switch to a different med in the same class. This is because each one has a different chemical structure in some way and so interacts with brain chemistry differently even though the area of brain chemistry it relates to is the same (thus the same class of SSRI).
Viibryd has similar side effects, though Lexapro has more reported. The main ones, though, are about the same. So if you are able to tolerate Lexapro well, this would be a reason why the doctor is trying Viibryd.
So, in all, be hopeful with this change in medications and give it a try to see if it resolves the problems you are having.
