VerifiedI don't know about the 72 hours rule. However I do know about ending relationships that have a negative outcome or are toxic to you. Breaking down communication allows you closure to move on to more positive supports and events in your life. Being what you call normal is different for a lot of people. Everyone is different. There is no rule like 72 hours. You have to see what is normal for you. Even with yourself it is different for a lot of reasons. How long you focus on this relationship and it's loss, how connected you were with them, how much you grieve for this relationship. You can move on emotionally according to your own pace but you can't define this in terms of what is normal. It really takes as long as you need to get better
