Nobody could tell you whether the separation between you and your wife will help unless, of course,one knows both of you very well. So since you have been in couples counseling and individual counseling why don't you tell me what happened there. What did the couples counselor think. Afterall they had intimate knowledge of your marital problems. Let me hear more about this so that I'll have a much better picture of what has been going on between you and your wife.
Why did the couples counselor recommend individual counseling? I take it that it was for you. What about for your wife? What do you mean that psychoanalysis was too cryptic for you? What does that mean?
