Hello Mam,

For the treatment of anxiety disorders, the drug of choice currently are antidepressant, specially drugs belonging to SSRI class of antidepressants. SSRIs are useful in treating all the disorders you have mentioned above.

SSRI Antidepressants

Diagnostic criteria are obviously different for every individual disorder and so is the assessment but broadly speaking, the treatment does not differ very much whether it is Phobia, OCD, Social anxiety, or Generalized anxiety disorder because for any one of these disorder, a doctor is going to use antidepressant or Psychotherapy such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

Anxiolytic medicine such as Benzodiazepines say for example, Klonopin are also used for the treatment but since these drugs can cause dependence, they are only used for a short term.
