why does a nervous breakdown flip your mind over. It is worst then going through it. Thats after years of it happening.

I think the younger we are, the more resilient we are, the faster we bounce back. As we get older, we many not have the same amount of people supporting us and helping us through things. We also may not have as much distraction and other stressors that help force us to keep going (college, early careers to fight for, kids to take care of, etc.). Plus, the more times we fall into the same mental ditch the more frustrated we become with ourselves and with the process of fighting to get better. We can lose hope and feel like "why bother, it'll only come back again."

But four times in 28 years is actually pretty darn good!
