Who is responsible for not seeing my sons Autism in a special needs school hes 12years old, are the health authorities to blame? always thought the teachers were trained to see Autism in a child in the class and they inform others to see the child someone is responsible for this but who????????????

Teachers are barely trained in recognizing communications disorders. Even though autism is a broad spectrum disorder there should have been some recognition of the abnormality and a referral to the school psychologist or guidance department. Since the teacher spends such a longtime with the child-greater than the the parent-it would seem the teacher(s) missed the all here.
