Customer Question

I'm working on a project for a psychology class. We're supposed to write about events in our life and relate them back to Erikson stages or something similar. Most of these stages to me related to infancy and then adolescence. Can you help explain some examples of Erikson's stages that would occur in preteen years?

Hi and thanks for using Just Answer. When thinking about Identity vs Role Confusion (12-18 yrs) some examples would be:

trying to fit in with peer groups
moral development
learning "who am I ?" As a member of multiple groups (family, relationships, peers, etc)
beginning to set goals or ideas about a future vocation
taking on more responsibilities
