VerifiedHe there. I'm sorry for the problems you are having with your husband. Honestly, it sounds like your husband is somewhat narcissistic, which makes it very difficult for him to see his own faults, and makes it very easy for him to blame other people for everything that goes wrong. It is typical behavior of narcissists to turn things around and accuse other people of something, and to tell someone that their perceptions are lies. I wouldn't say he has a mental illness per se. Narcissism is a personality disorder and it is very difficult to treat as narcissists don't believe there is anything wrong with them. So his behavior in therapy is very typical also. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. But don't expect him to change. Narcissists don't change.
