Resolved Question:

In 2006 my doctor diagnosed me as Atypical Psychosis. Which basically means I have some psychosis but not a full blown disorder. Since then my doctor has changed my diagnosis to Psychosis NOS. What is this diagnosis? I currently taking Abilify 2 mg/day. Is the chemical name "aripiprazole" the generic for Abilify?

Atypical psychosis and psychosis NOS (not otherwise specified) are interchangeable terms.

Aripiprazole is generic for Abilify.

Thank you for your feedback. I was wondering something as well. I was 36 years old when this mental Illness first struck. Doesn't this Illness start at a much earlier age?
