This answer was rated:

If i went to see a psychodynamic therapist who had leaning to Object relations theory, Winnicott in particular, how would they help create an environment where I could talk about early childhood issues/

Although short and sweet, the answer to this, is that Winnicott would create the "holding environment" for a client in order to make him the transitional object.

He thought that the not-good-enough parent did not provide that, and when he did, it led to autonomy.
