It’s possible the ecm is faulty but it’s not common. The only way to verify would be to install a known good ecm.
Also, if the light came on. There should be a code. Not common for a light to come on and there be no code logged. Very strange.
If there are no codes. I would suspect an Iva sticking. I have seen this happen many times and cause the engine to run rough and leave no codes. The tough part is figuring out which Iva has the problem.Please reply back if you need more help. I am happy to assist.
