unit wont start now. was on a test ride and it was faltering so I pulled over and it died on me. we put anew ipr on it last week and it ran good for a minute.

DTC 335 - ICP unable to build pressure during cranking

DTC 335 is set after the ECM detects 8 to 10 seconds of engine cranking with less than 3.5 MPa (508 psi) of ICP. Engine cranking speed must be greater than 130 rpm before diagnostic trouble code detection can begin.

Engine cranking time varies with engine temperature.

Possible causes for DTC 335 include the following:

  • Low oil level in crankcase
  • No lube oil pressure or lube oil delivery (reservoir empty or not filling)
  • Trapped air in the ICP system (particularly after an injector or high-pressure pump replacement)
  • Leaks in ICP system
  • Leaks in BCP system or failed brake shut-off valve
  • Inoperative or stuck injection pressure regulator
  • Intermittent IPR valve wiring connection. Inspect engine wiring harness connector and IPR valve terminal for corrosion. Inspect terminal for bent or pushed back pins.
  • Loose high-pressure hydraulic pump gear
  • Inoperative high-pressure hydraulic pump

How do you get air out of system? Put new ipr on. It ran after that. Could my issue be there? Ran but had misfire.
You run it for 20 minutes at 1500 RPM or higher in the parking lot. Then you take it out for a good twenty five mile road test on Hills to help bleed the air out .

got it. I think thats all it needed. I went there to check it out. and it actually fired up after sitting for 3 days. I then ran it and then test drove it after checking that it had no more codes. Seemed to run fine. Out of curiosity though, where is the icp sensor located on this truck?
Under valve cover threaded into the high pressure oil rail
