Mechanic's Assistant: What's the make/model/year of your truck? Engine type?

I have a 2012 volvo D13

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your truck yourself? What have you tried so far?

I was trying my mechanic fix a leak but nothing happenes this is what my truck is doing: my volvo is automatic when i put it in N (neutral) you can hear when you give gas to the truck

Okay. What faults did he see on the computer? Also is the gear in the dash matching what posistion the shifter is in?

MID 130 PSID 28 Transmission Brake

Type of fault:FMI Description:Fault Condition:Possible Symptoms:Possible Cause:

FMI 7

  • Mechanical system not responding or out of adjustment
  • The transmission brake does not brake when the valve is activated
  • Yellow lamp is sent
  • Slow gear changes at standstill
  • N/A

Your other faults for clutch load and for split should be looked into as well. The clutch load fault, one thing that I would check would be the brake pedal switch. You should hear the switch in the cab click right as you get pressure on the treadle valve. If the switch does not click or clicks right away then the brake pedal switch needs adjusted. The trans uses this switch to tell when to release and engage the clutch. The split fault may be caused by this as well. If the switch is in adjustment then the transmission split and clutch test will need to be ran with a pc to see if you have any internal air leaks and to check the values of the split and clutch readings to see if any readings are in the red.
