I have a 2008 International...
I have a 2008 International Prostar. It has ISX435, the last 8 of the vin 8C657115.The code it is throwing is SPN1174 which says it's the engine turbo #1 inlet pressure.Also has a code ECM power output supply voltage #1.The orange check engine light comes on when going down hill. It goes off going up hill.Where do you think I should start?

I would check on both codes. Do you have a headlight u can use as a load light? Disconnect the 4 pin connector at the ecm and load test the wiring there to make sure the wiring can carry current. Use both beams of the headlamp if possible.

Red wires are positive and white wires are negative at that connector.

Checking continuity does not check the current carrying capability of the wiring. There could be one little copper strand still hanging on left in the wiring somewhere and it will ohm out as ok.

The ECM grabs its power straight from the batteries. There is a small power feed harness right on top of the batteries and it has a small inline fuse holder with a fuse in it. You might also want to check there for loose connections or at any connector along that harness.

anything on the turbo inlet pressure code?We are pulling it in the shop to track down the ecm issue in the morning, with your headlight procedure.

I would inspect the intake manifold pressure sensor located in the intake manifold. It may be plugged up with soot.
