I have a 2011...

I have a 2011 Freightliner Cascadia with a DD15 engine. Has check engine and stop engine lights on with 1 active code SPN 3363 FMI 5 for DEF coolant valve failed open. I have checked the wiring from the ACM to the valve and found them to be .5 Ohms. The field coil on the valve checks out at 12 ohms, the same as a new one. I have cleared this code several time with my Pro-link but it comes back within 10 seconds.

If the valve and the wiring harness test to be good with 100% certainty I recommend having the software reflashed and reset to factory settings and then see if the problem returns. Sometimes it is a matter of resetting the software when the repairs are made but the ACM or ECM wont reset or clear.

The issue is still not resolved. I went to replace the valve (which is part of the header assembly) and when I removed the header I discovered the tank is full of diesel fuel. I am currently waiting for authorization from the customer to replace the entire system as per Detroit procedure.
