Customer: I am fixing this myself I took the headers out and now I need to know the timing of the Pistons.

I am sorry, I don't understand your question. I have never heard of timing the pistons.

I normal time the crankshaft to the camshaft and then the fuel system is timed at #1 TDC Compression Stroke.

The serial number you posted is not a CAT serial number. Also, your question is posted in the truck section. Is this a truck? CAT does not sell the 3412 for over the road use.
