USC cummins with caps...

USC cummins with caps fuel system 2006 in a feller buncher The engine was running fine and was shut down and now will not start. It almost starts but not quite. It makes a little black smoke while cranking and does fire a little. Cranking speed is 280 rpm plunger solenoid and click tests both pass there is no codes inlet pressure is 11 psi static with lots of flow. With the injection line cracked the fuel sprays out at high pressure. Pump, ECM have 2000 hrs/2 years on them the transient suppressor and was also replace then and now has a new one all wiring checks out any ideas?

Do me a favour and crack all 6 lines at the head, crack her over and Let me know if the fuel comes out of a 6 lines, if not I suspect the rotor is seized.

All lines produce fuel unfortunately my laptop won't turn on this am so I'm trying to rig up a quage to check the accumulator pressure at the moment s/n of the engine is 46589957

You need to reread the original message there are no codes thus far I haven't managed to read the accumulator pressure

What should the accumulator pressure be when cranking?

Min 4250 psi while cranking
If low the next step is to remove the fuel pressure sensor in the accumulator and check for debris with a magnet, if any the accumulator is compromised and will have to be replaced, when removing the fuel pressure sensor, there will be a metal seal ring that will be have to be removed to get a magnet in the hole for inspection.

The problem turned out to be a faulty ICV it functioned but was delivering fuel too late
