ECU SPN 5443 FMI 13. How long can I drive it like this before fixing? Soot level gauge is very low. Clean dpf. 2011 Volvo d13.

2011 D13 405 HP Volvo

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your truck yourself? What have you tried so far?

It just came on. Company owned but I have about 1400 miles to go till I get to their shop. No answer from them right now.

My mechanic not respondingI think I saw your previous answers to another. Not sure if same problem. Can I go 1000 miles with this SPN 5443 FMI 13? Clean dpf-low level on soot level gauge. Is there going to be no regin till I get to shop?

ECM SPN 5443, Aftertreatment 1 Hydrocarbon Dosing System – MID 128
PPID 329

FMI 13 • Calibration value out
of range
• Air pressure, not
within expected
range
• Regeneration not
possible
• Low air pressure
• Aftertreatment Hydrocarbon Dosing
Module

The last two are the possible causes.

You will not be able to regen as long as this fault is active.

At some point you will be derated on power by the ECM.

But if soot level is low you will have some time before regen is required.

This is all Aftertreatment related so yes keep an eye on the soot level.

Not sure what will trigger the derates process but soot level rise probably will. I have unhooked speed sensor an back of transmission to keep running till shopIn the past with other derates issues. Not sure about this one yet
