Truck not going into low gear. If I use the hose for high

Customer Question

Truck not going into low gear. If I use the hose for high range and put on low range the low range works
JA: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix. The heavy truck mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts.
Customer: It's a 10 gear mack truck
JA: Are you fixing your truck yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I am. I've taken out the piston for low range and put on new o rings
JA: Anything else you want the truck mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Sometimes it would scratch when I shift from low to high range and vice versa

Sorry for long delay

I just need to clarify did low range work before seal replacement? Just that it was scratching?

Why did you replace o-rings?

Is this a Eaton trans?

Let me know please
