JA: What's the make/model/year of your truck? Engine type?
Customer: 81 gmc with 8.2 detroit
JA: Are you fixing your truck yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes have replaced rubber hoses and fuel pump
JA: Anything else you want the truck mechanic to know before I connect you?

Good morning Chris

If filters are going empty you have a leak or blockage on suction side of fuel system (before fuel pump) since you already

replaced rubber hoses check the tank pick up tube, and all fittings

If you have a fuel filter between tank and pump bypass filter head first, it is most likely is the problem

To test system fuel supply run a line from inlet of fuel pump directly into a container of fuel,, either directly to the the tank or a 5 gallon bucket of clean fuel, tie up line to keep it submerged in fuel while running/testing
