Customer Question

i have a 99 pete with 3406e cat motor. it has been intermittently shutting down, some times momentarily, sometimes completely to point of pulling off road to sit for a few minutes.
My shop says they think it is related to the Fleet installed CAT monitor that was installed in the truck, but no longer in use, as I do not have a driver code to access the start up of the unit (bought truck from broker, not original fleet).
I am growing fearful that the truck will ultimately shut down, and not restart, thus leaving me to be towed....not good.
Any recommendations?

Thanks for asking your question. I will try and help you out.
Can you elaborate on the fleet monitor? Is it the Cat driver display or Cat messenger?
Also. When the truck shuts down, will it not start right back up?
