I work on a freightliner C13 engine 2007 if I put the timing

Hi there my name is ***** ***** work on a freightliner C13 engine 2007 if I put the timing pin in to the flywheel hole , the timing marks on front need to be alignment between crankshaft idle gear and came gear?

Yes. Putting a bolt in the flywheel will put the engine on TDC. To correctly gear time the engine. You will need to line up the timing marks on the gears.Please reply back if you need more help or have more questions. I am happy to assist.
