I will help you wit this

what is your question, Please

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I have a 97 freightliner with a m11 in it on start up it has an engine miss lots of smoke , as it runs it starts to come out of it and the smoke clears , I suspect an injector or 2 ,, cylinder 2 and 6 manifold are cold , but wondering what fails with an injector that creates so much smoke
Expert:  Wayne replied 11 months ago.

Thank you for that

what you are describing is either injector or the inj harness

swap the injector with the one next to it,see if it

travels to that cyl. or stays same ,if same then a harness issue

if it travels to the next cylinder then injector

the smoke is it is dripping injector leaking fuel in cylinder

I hope this helped you
