I have a 150KVA single phase Cummins generator.
JA: What is the complete model and serial number of your machine?
Customer: 150DSGAC
JA: Are you fixing this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: My question is: will I harm the alternator by running it with a very low load. Less than 10% of capacity. maybe around 1 or 2 %

No it will not damage the alternator of the unit to run the unit under a light load But is good pratice ot add load from time to time to allow the engine to perform to a higher level of horsepower.
