Wayne Changed out mechanical fuel pump. But still runs out

Customer Question

Hey Wayne Changed out mechanical fuel pump. But still runs out of gas when I try to drive it. If I remove fuel filter its only about 1/4 full. If I turn it over for extended period it will restart and do the same thing.

Hi I'm Wayne

Thank you for requesting me

sorry for the delay, was out at a BBQ yesterday

well that leaves the line or something in the fuel tank blocking it

use a separate container wit fuel in it , run it that way as a test

Customer: replied 11 months ago.

So your saying to use a separate fuel container and bypass fuel tank ? Direct to transfer pump ! Then if its OK pull lines from tank and draw from separate container thru lines to transfer pump ! And if that's OK its a restriction or problem in tank ?

Yes that is correct,

issue with pick up tube, or line itself

I hope this helped you
