I have a 1978 komatsu d 65 e dozer and today I found diesel

Customer Question

I have a 1978 komatsu d 65 e dozer and today I found diesel fuel in the oil when I checked the oil. Oil press is low now due to thin oil, so i shutdown. What are some causes that I should start to check?

Only two ways fuel gets into the lube oil. Through an engine mounted fuel transfer pump, or the injection pump drive shaft. No other way. Does your engine have fuel transfer pump driven off cylinder block?
