good evening

the xy is easy to do and all thats required is unplugging it at the top of the tranny from the main tcu harness and the 4 bolts like removing the shifier

the harness is the same story, just pay attention to unplugging in the output and input speed sensors, mark the harness and then compare to the new harness, the connectors are the same and if they accidentally get swapped the transmission won't go into gear,,Good luck and let me know how you do,

Is there an access panel to get to the top of the tranny?

There may be, but you would have to remove the carpet
Better off to drop the driveline and go that way
