Can I change out the fuel line coming from the fuel tank

Customer Question

Can I change out the fuel line coming from the fuel tank without pulling the engine out on my 1996 bobcat 863 C-series?
JA: We'll do all we can to help. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so the Heavy Equipment Mechanic can help you best.
Customer: I think there is a hole in my fuel line and air is entering into the fuel system causing the engine to run rough and sometimes not at all. I have to use the primer bulb every time to start it.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Heavy Equipment Mechanic should know?
Customer: I have already changed out the lift pump and blew air back through the line into to fuel tank to remove any restrictions. When it does start and is running rough, we can open the bleeder on the fuel filter and it will then run fine.
