Clayton, I have a similar deal. 2004 freightliner with a Detroit 60. I can't get the error code to come up.
It ran great and turned in the driveway and it just died.

thanks for the update. What chassis model is your truck? Depending on the chassis model you can pull codes through the dash odometer display using the mode buttons to scroll through screens. Others you can get flash codes but counting the blinks of the check engine light. You can always plug in a scan tool as well when there is one available. Let me know what chassis model and then I can see if we can get your codes without a scan tool
