I have Farmall A with a belly mower. Starting last year

Customer Question

I have Farmall A with a belly mower.
Starting last year after about a half hour of mowing, it would lose almost all power, and start to miss under load
This year it is worse.
It seems to be a temperature effect.
Yesterday in 94 F weather it only ran OK for about 3 minutes;
today at 74F it ran about twice as long before losing power
I had a tuneup last year and just replaced the ignition coil
I also tried ethanol-free gas

Have you ever checked the valve clearance? If valves are too tight, as engine warms, the clearnce becomes less, and engin engine will lose power and start missing.
