2000 ford f550 with a 7.3 diesel getting code P1746 pressure

Customer Question

2000 ford f550 with a 7.3 diesel getting code P1746 pressure control sensor circuit A open circuit. Also seems to have loss of power. Changed a pcm from 2001 f450 and installed seems to run and shift good. Throwing code for water in fuel . Would guess different programs for the years. Still get P1746. How best to analyze this wiring diagrams and help where to start.

Hi Mickey, My name is ***** ***** usually set due to a bad Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid or the connection to it. Access the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector behind the Left Hand (LH) fender area. Disconnect the harness and test the resistance between pin 71 Red wire and pin 81 White/Yellow (WH/YE) wire. The resistance should read roughly 3-5 ohms.If the resistance is high, test the WH/YE wire for high resistance or open circuit between the PCM and transmission connector pin 11. Repair the wire if needed and recheck operation. If the WH/YE wire is OK, at the transmission connector test the resistance between pin 11 and pin 12 on the transmission side of the connector to ohm the Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid in the transmission. Should be 3-5 ohms. If incorrect, its likely a faulty EPC solenoid in the transmission
