i have a th83 will go forard and backwards but will not shift speeds

Customer: i have check the shuttel shifter the best i can but it is like it is stuck in 2nd or 3nd gear

Hi my name is***** will be glad to try to help. What is your serial number? Check for fine metal/debris in the transmission filter and oil indicating a potential internal failure. If clean test power in and out of the shift controller in all gear positions for power to the shift solenoids. Let me know the serial number so I can be sure to get you the correct information for your serial number machine
