Hi I'm Wayne

I will try to help you with this

do you check for power at the Resistor ??

all the wires , if you remove the motor , does it run good on

a test bench , let me know

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Motor runs on rest bench. Where is resistor to check power at?
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

Hi

Sorry for the delay

it is in the blower box, the wire from heater motor goes to it

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No power at resistor
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

Thank you for that

if you have no power at resistor, check the fuse

if good , then need to open dash and check power at the control switch

Temp control has 3 knobs and a wiring harness attached. Other 2 knobs work for hot cold and ac/vent. How to check power at fan knob when it has this wiring harness? There are several wires running into it. None of them are the same gauge as the one going to fan fuse. Is there a relay somewhere?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I thought before it might be temp control box but need to verify before spending 500 on a new one.
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

Hi

again sorry for delay, Illnesses in the Family, my sister

you need to go off the fan switch , that is the power to blower

you need to use a probe to check the wires that go to fan switch, unplugged

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Do you know what the temp control box looks like on this truck?
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

HI

Yes I do , the heater box

and the dash control

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Are you telling me to check the wires coming out of the temp control box? If so how do I do that? There are many wires and I have no way of knowing which goes to the heater fan.
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

Hi

It is a heavy Red wire, about a 10 Gauge

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can we continue tomorrow?
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

Morning

Yes I go off line at 9:30 Pm

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Which wire to rest? No red wire.
Expert:  Wayne replied 1 year ago.

Hi

Thank you for that

you need to plug them together

and probe the wires with a volt meter for 12+ volts

as you turn the knob, voltage should change, should have power on 3 or more wires

if it does not, and you have power going in, and nothing coming out

then controller is faulty
