Customer Question

98 ford e150 van w/4.6. Original Problem no trn/signals, ( but Hazards worked fine) relay was buzzing and sometimes trn/sig would operate intermittently. I replaced flasher - they worked then stopped again 10 min later flasher went back to noise. Replaced Multifunction switch - no help. Took too a friend, he jumped purple and green at column - signals worked but drained system killing battery overnight. I researched it and found he had jumped ignition system, and dissconnected his splice. Vehicle went back to no signals but charging system was fine there after. Checking system I found no power on blue wire at flasher. Test light on top at switch was showing a pulsing light ? Then lost all heat in vehicle?

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question had not received a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.

If anything after market was wired into your vehicle like an after market remote start or alarm system this may be interfering with the turn signals here.If this is the case I would inspect the wiring to any after market component and repair any wiring at fault. If no after market components are wired in at all or no issues found with it let me know so we can continue to test this here.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.Keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair your vehicle without seeing it and I work on delivering the best possible answer from what I see to work with.

Thanks Pete
