Hi I have a Monaco...
Hi I have a Monaco Coachman 2003 with cummins ISM 300 engine. I have been a while in a campsite in Portugal. Today I was supposed to leave but when I tried to start engine stop, warning, and check engine started to blink and I also got the same sound as when I don't have enough of air in the system. It also seems that the Jacks don't go down

Hi Wayne I,ve started it as normal two days before my problem started. I tried to start it with the door open and step out. It didnt start, then I closed the door and it started, was going in 1 minute then it stop and the problem started. Seems that I can't get any EMC code cause I don't have a diagnostic switch

OK, need to drop the fuel filter

and make sure it is full to the top, overflowing

if, yes , then on the side of your engine is the computer

has 2 big plugs going into it , under there there will be 2 fuses

in the wire , make sure they are good

If you mean the filter who separates it from water so was it not full at all, it came some water and a drop of diesel

OK ,no smoke, filter empty

you should hear the fuel pump ticking with key on, Not start

if you do not, then it either blew afuse, check all fuses

if good fuel pump failed

I have checked all fuses except those inside, My friend heard a ticking sound when I put on the ignition

It is a inline fuse on the side of the motor

under the ECM computer

with big wire harness going to it

I found two 30 a fuses in the battery compartment and when I took them away the ECM didnt work so it seems that the ECM got power

OK, what you need to do is get a mobile mechanic, and hook up Cummins insite to the

computer and see what the codes are , can be a cam sensor, crankshaft sensor , faulty

I forgot to told you that when I finaly found the liftpump it didnt work but there was no power to it when ignition was on.

My friend didnt hear the ticking sound. He was mistaken. There was a lot of noise from the road.
It was when I was laying under the motorhome I noticed that it was no ticking and then I checked if there where any power and found out there was nothing.

disconnect the battery for 15 minutes

I disconected the negative side of the engine batteries and waited 20 minutes before I connected it again. But nothing is different. It still flashes warning, check engine, and stop engine with a warning sound when I put on the ignition

Can it be that fuse you are talking about, who is under the ECM? I havent still found it!

Can't find any fuse who is specifiad as fuel pump in Monaco Book. Have to go out on internet and look. Have in battery compartment pump dag and ABS pump.

What you can do is run a Temp hot wire to fuel pump wire

to get it going and moved to a repair area

Have been out on the internet and as I understood the fule pump gets power directly from the ECM. If I put a hot wire is there any way I can damage the system. If I start it in fault mode.
