A friend has a 2000,s model volvo truck tractor.the drivers

a friend has a 2000,s model volvo truck tractor.the drivers side tank is leaking .i was gonna remove the diesel from the left tank and couple the left lines together and just use the right tank until he can find another tank .but it keeps loosing prime .should i try and use the left side lines hooked to the right side tank ?????

The suction line on the drivers side, likely has a fuel check valve, without the check valve in the suction line, the fuel drains back, and looses prime. You need to find check valve and reuse it, or get another check valve and put in the suction line on the tank used.
