I have a 1985 cab over freight-liner. what method do i use to hook the battery's up? in a series or hot to negative in a diangle on every other battery. I cannot get it put the right amount of power to the starter.

I will help you with this

Ok in 1999 and older batteries you had either 12 volts or 24 volt starting system

so i ned you to look at alternator , and see what it says , 12v, or 24 v

sounds to me the system is 34 volt , that is why less power to starter
